fantasy
what it is
Fantasy is a genre of fiction that commonly uses magic and other supernatural phenomena as a primary element of plot, theme, or setting. In its broadest sense, however, fantasy comprises works by many writers, artists, filmmakers, and musicians, from ancient myths and legends to many recent works embraced by a wide audience today. The term fantasy music is used to describe a style of music that evokes settings of fantasy and adventure, usually highly narrative, with "scenes" that are played out in almost theatrical fashion.
