sludgecore
what it is
Sludgecore is essentially sludge metal that emphasizes hardcore punk rather than doom metal. The term derives itself from the late 80s/early 90s NOLA scene where bands would reject the term Sludge Metal as they all came from the punk scene and identified as such.
